Über den/die AutorIn

Mary Ann Hoberman's volunteer work teaching literacy inspired her to create the You Read to Me, I'll Read to You series of books to encourage reading. Winner of the National Book Award, she is the author of more than thirty-five books for children, including One of Each and Miss Mary Mack . In October 2008, Mary Ann was selected as the nation's next Children's Poet Laureate by the Poetry Foundation at the fifth annual Pegasus Awards in Chicago. Ms. Hoberman enjoys reading with her grandchildren: "I read to them - they read to me!" Her Web site is Ruby and its sequel, Ruby and the Sniffs ; Welcome Back Sun ; Dinosaurs , and most recently, Mail Harry to the Moon . Having grown up in a family of writers and artists, he is an avid reader and comic book fan. A native of New England, Mr. Emberley now lives in San Diego, California.
