David Gilmore, geb. 1949 in England, übersiedelte 1972 nach Deutschland und absolvierte hier eine Vielzahl an theaterpädogischen und therapeutischen Ausbildungen. Seit den 80er-Jahren bietet der in Freudenstadt im Schwarzwald lebende Autor als Theaterpädagoge, Clowntherapeut und Seminarleiter Seminare und Weiterbildungen im sozialen, pädagogischen und Gesundheitsbereich sowie in Firmen und bei Kongressen an. 2005 gründete er zudem das Humor- und Theaterprojekt Moving Stages in Deutschland und in der Schweiz sowie die David-Gilmore-Stiftung zur Finanzierung von Clown- und Narrenprojekten in Institutionen des öffentlichen Lebens. Autor vieler Beiträge zum Thema Humor in zahlreichen Zeitschriften.
